- Characters get two less force points per level. But at the start of every game session they get a temporary Force Point. If not spent it goes away at the end of the session. It cannot be used to create an effect that has a lasting duration (i.e. making your own lightsaber).
- Droids with heroic levels cannot be reprogrammed.
- The feat droids receive at first level is a flexible feat that can be reprogrammed at standard reprogramming cost. The expenditure of a Force point allows for immediate reprogramming. At higher levels the swappable feat can be redesignated (upon leveling up).
- Upon leveling up you can swap out an old feat, skill, or talent for a new one. You need to qualify for the new ability and the loss of the old one cannot make you ineligible for any other ability.
- All Force replacement skills (i.e. Force Deception, Force Pilot, etc.) are available without any prerequisite other than Force Sensitivity (i.e. no prestige class requirements or need for other talents).

Antarian Rangers Disbanded
Emperor Palpatine today announced the disbanding of the Antarian Rangers, confirming rumors that the Rangers had assisted the Jedi in their failed coup attempt.
Imperial spokesman Ars Dangor indicated that the bulk of the Rangers had been arrested but warned that some had escaped and were still at large. "They should be considered extremely dangerous. It is possible they are still associating with and assisting fugitive Jedi.
"Citizens should be assured that reports of organized efforts of the Rangers to smuggle Jedi traitors off of Coruscant are just rumors. Seditious rumors that destabilize our new Empire."
Date Played - September 29, 2008
Setting - Coincident with Revenge of the Sith, Coruscant, Dantooine, Cloud City
Characters - Bobba-Thae, Jolea, Prax, IG-282
Bobba-Thae and Jolea were two of the more unusual Jedi padawans at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Bobba-Thae's family, powerful Yarkora "businessmen" (who did business with the likes of Jabba the Hutt) kept the Jedi Order from bringing him into temple as a child, despite his powerful connection with the Force. Learning of his latant abilities, he ran off to join the temple himself at the advanced age of 16. He impressed a master and with their losses in the Clone Wars, he was taken in.
Jolea hailed from the planet Dathomir and at the start of the Clone Wars she accidentally led clonetroopers to the world, using it as a military base. Many of the witches of Dathomir were killed in the confusion. Jolea was exiled and taken as a padawan and potential Jedi healer by the Jedi order.
Prax was an Asarii, a blue-skinned sppecies with many sensitive in the Force. He was at the start of his twenty year exile/walkabout that all Force sensitives underwent. He'd been spending weeks trying to get a hold of the Jedi in the temple - there was a knight who was supposed to meet him but he'd never shown and Prax couldn't get through. He took a job as a shuttle mechanic and took up residence in an apartment overlooking the temple.
IG-282 was a droid built to fight for the CIS. However his programming didn't take. He wanted to be a protocol droid. He encountered Prax and asssisted him, taking joy in making regular calls to the Jedi Temple.
Jolea and Bobba-Thae were at the Jedi Temple when Anakin Skywalker - now Darth Vader - led a legion of Clone Troopers to kill all the Jedi in the temple - from youngling to master. Jolea and Bobba-Thae barely escaped with their lives - Bobba-Thae vainly tried a Jedi mind trick on Vader. The two fled to a communications room and were nearly killed by the clonetrooper which pusued them. Jolea got a chance to use her medical skills to revie Bobab-Thae. It was during this that IG-282 plalced another call to the temple and saw the carnage going on, seeing Bobba-Thae gunned down by a clonetrooper.
Jolea and Bobba-Thae took some hidden tunnels that Bobba-Thae had discovered in his wanderings of the temple to rendezvous with Prax and IG-282. Bobba-Thae tried contacting his family for help - who promptly reported them to the Republic and the four were attacked by many more clonetroopers. They fought as best they can and were fortunately saved by the arrival of Gotal Antarian Ranger (a warrior order who aided the Jedi) who blasted the remaining clonetroopers and took the four aboard his starship.
The unnamed ranger explained how Chancellor Palpatine had declared that every Jedi was now an enemy of the Republic, he took them to hiding places where they could hope to survive the coming dark times. Jolea, Prax, and Bobba-Thae settled on Dantooine while Bobba-Thae settled on Cloud City.

Inspecting the shuttle our band found a band Twi'lek girl, bound and gagged. Untying her they discovered her to be Dane Eruva, a Jedi padawan. She explained that she and her master ran afoul of slavers enroute to a conclave of some surviving Jedi. Correl Dashin, Jedi Knight, had arranged the conclave. Dashin had been a Jedi padawan prior to the Sith-Imperial war, where the Sith and Empire had worked together to defeat the Alliance and its Jedi protectors. Always a troublemaker, Dashin had been expelled from the order a few years prior to the outbreak of war. For years he had wandered the galaxy but rejoined the Jedi out the outbreak of war, eventually becoming knighted. Caleb spent a lot of time with Dashin. Indeed it was Dashin who had found the maproom where the officers of the Rebel Scum met each other, though they were separated under circumstances Caleb never discussed.
The conclave was to be held on the new capital of the Taina Sector, Moelbarae, which was also headquarters of the megacorporation Moelbarae Commercial Alliance. Moelbarae was largely barren, with most of the population dwelling in large crater-cities, extending hundreds of stories into the planet's surface.
With two Jedi learners in their group, the Rebel Scum made way for Moelbarae. It was a hub of activity and easy to get permission to land their shuttle, the Eagle V - with much reconstruction due to damage done in the Sith-Imperial War and more activity due to the movement of the sector capital, security paid little attention to a small shuttle.
The conclave was to be held in a damaged building. Working their way through dangerous shafts and corridors, Dane led Caleb, HK-60, Maya, Muppet, and Q2-6L to the conclave. Correl Dashin was there, as was an elderly woman, the Jedi Master Kayr Finn. More were expected, though apparently circumstances had prevented them form making it. Nevertheless, it was useful to get to many together. Jedi Master Finn thanked Dashin for calling the meeting. She explained that she had located a secret Jedi monastery established on the planet Ares as a base in the events of the return of difficult times for the order like those years after Palpatine crushed the order almost completely. Finn held up a holodisc highlighted a canyon on Ares' southern hemisphere. However, she had little time to say more. A blaster bolt from a aircar outside struck her down. Then someone used the Force to send her holodisc flying to the aircar despire Caleb's chance to intercept. As Caleb leapt out the window to the aircar, Dashin drew his blue lightsaber and impaled Finn. They had been betrayed.

Characters - Caleb, HK-69, Maya, Muppet, Q2-6L Dashin proved to be a challenging opponent. And he seemed to have a special place in his heart for Caleb, focusing his fierce lightsaber attacks on him. Meanwhile, Caleb eventually was able to use the Force to retrieve the holodisc from the assassin outside - one of the extragalactic Yuuzhan Vong - deadly aliens practically nonexistent to the Force. While Caleb was forced to battle with Dashin, Maya leapt to the aircar to engage the Vong directly, suffering several poisonous bites from his amphistaff. HK-69 blasted everything in sight, Q2-6L had some success with is Sith Sword against Dashin, and Muppet took advantage of the shadows to strike from the darkness, eventually clipping a small bomb Dashin's belt. But not before in a flurry of blows did Dashin sever Caleb's sword-arm at the elbow and kick his saber out the window. That gave Dashin the opportunity to encourage Caleb to channel his fear to use the Dark Side -the Sith were too powerful an enemy to be resisted, which is why he joined them during his wandering when he was apart from the Jedi - when he rejoined the Order it was as an agent of the Sith, allowing him to secretly betray the Jedi at Ossus...
Eventually Maya and HK-69 were able to finish off the Vong and Dashin decided it was time to leave. Our heroes were in little shape to pursue so they hoped the explosion they heard finished him off. Limping their way to the Rebel Scum they fitted Caleb with a prosthetic limb. After which they headed for the Ares system to see if the holodisc was worth the price they had paid.
Imperial Databank Authorized Access Only Ares - Planetary Summary Ares is essentially a cold desert of a world. It would be unremarkable save for the valuable minerals found under its mountains and the medicinal and recreational spices found under its red sands, a byproduct of its deadly sandworms. Ares' atmosphere is breathable by most species but breathmasks are recommended due to the thinness of the atmosphere, as is cold-weather clothing - much of the surface does not see temperatures above freezing. The native Aresians were primitive nomads when the colony ship Magnificent Prism misjumped into the system over a thousand years ago. Unable to affect repairs and far-off course, the colonists settled on Ares, setting the stage for centuries of conflict between the native Aresians and the more advanced settlers. Even when recontacted by the Old Republic, most of the settlers preferred to remain on Ares. Ares was a flashpoint in the Taina Sector's many civil wars and during the Clone Wars. Some ten years ago, the planetary government collapsed into anarchy. Now Ares is divided between various factions - some settlers and natives which coexist, others which seek the total extermination of the other. Many traders and smugglers still visit the world, risking the anarchy in hopes of scoring a profit.

Our heroes waited for Fertain in a borrowed Loyalist shuttle. Parked just outside a sleepy trading outpost they had a view of the fields for kilometers in every direction. So it was little surprise when they saw Fertain's shuttle from a distance. It was something of a surprise when they saw he had been pursued by Imperial Predator fighters. Maya flew the shuttle in pursuit, managing to take the fighters out, though Fertain's courier had crashed and was on fire. Q2-6L put out the fire while Caleb and HK-69 fought off strormtroopers.
Fertain informed them that through extensive bribery, his courier had clearance to pass through the Imperial blockade around Taina. Unfortunately, there was no way get his entire village off-world in the small courier - they had a transport big enough, but it would be sure to be shot down by the nearby Imperial garrison. He went on to explain that the Sith were very interested in the garrison, at the foot of Mount Jagos. There were many cargo shuttles leaving the garrison. The mayor of his village would tell them more...
Mayor Ror'rorr, a 200 year old wookie explained that rumors held that horrible monsters lived within Mount Jagos. During Palpatine's reign the vile High Inquisitor Tremayne had his infamous prison atop the mountain. The rumored horrors within the mountain were a good deterrent to escape - though the conditions within the prison were horrible as well, until it was destroyed by a pair of Rebel agents, the half-sisters Rissa Fleet and Kathera Tarheena, who were freeing the Aresian Jedi Master L'Norisaan from the prison. The rumors also said that whatever monsters were within the mountain were active again and allied with the Sith. If the four of them could somehow take out the garrison - or at least disable its blaster cannon, the village could escape in a transport ship.
That night the four headed out on foot for the Mount Jagos garrison. En route they were ambushed by a group of spider-like aliens - disgusting creatures using a twisted form of biotechnology - based around undead matter. These creatures used poison and bioweapons against our heroes but were eventually defeated. Q2-6L disabled a small part of the electric fence around the garrison, allowing our heroes access to the rooftop blaster cannon - which they proceeded to point down at the garrison and engage, destroying the garrison. As surviving troops tried to rally, our heroes took a repulsortruck into the black tunnel leading into Mount Jagos...

Muppet had obtained from the Imperial loyalists a suitable privateer vessel. With a small skeleton crew he headed for Taina to meet up with our heroes - and to learn what sort of cargo the Imperials were picking up from Taina. Unfortunately his ship came under attack by the same spider-creatures his companions had encoutered - death cultists called the Charon. His ship was secured in a complex within Mount Jagos. Only he of his crew managed to escape the Charon.
Rendezvousing with his companions, the five worked their way into the installation. They met several Charon on their way to the central power core, using a variety of grenades, blasters, and illusions of fire to deal with them. power core was within the central counduit leftover from Mount Jagos' earlier days as a volcano. In addition to the power core they saw thousands upon thousands of Charon within hibernation chambers lining the conduit. Seeing their ship up above our heroes battled the Charon, got back to their ship, and blew away the power core - wiping out the Charon within Mount Jagos - though an uncertain number of them had already been shipped out by the Empire.

The following report is true, unfiltered by Imperial censors.
Smugglers and blockade runners in the Taina system report that the long-dormant Mount Jagos volcano has erupted for the first time in over three thousand years. A century ago Mount Jagos was the home of a prison administered by the vile Imperial High Inquisitor Tremayne. There had been many reports of artifacts made by "demons from beyond the void" within the mountain which Tremayne apparently experimented with on prisoners.
A group of Tainans from Jagos Village recently escaped the Imperial blockade. They report that Imperial activity had again resumed within Mount Jagos and a group of freedom fighters helped them escape.

Episode II - Borrowing a Star Destroyer
The vile Darth Krayt, Dark Lord of the Sith, has tightened his grip on the galactic empire. A band of Imperial loyalists, led by Countess-in-exile Jain of the Tapani sector has retreated to the Roche asteroid field in the Taina sector. With the Galactic Alliance and their Jedi guardians defeated, the Empire has begun reevaluating its fleet requirements.
The Imperial Star Destroyer Indefatigable, over a century in age, is being decommissioned and turned into a museum ship. The crew of the Eagle IV, working with the loyalists for the time being, is traveling to Aduba III to infiltrate an Imperial Merchant Marine ship bringing a delivery of droids to the Indefatigable. Reprogrammed, those droids would be a valuable tool in delivering the near-empty Star Destroyer....
On most towns on Aduba III, a visit from a single ship was noteworthy. Two of them was especially so. The fact that the crew of the ships got into a firefight was more entertainment than they had had in months. When the smoke cleared, our heroes had taken out Captain Tanis Hrothrar and his merchant marine crew. They then took off in his ship and set a course for the Kwenn system and the Indefatigable. Enroute, Q2-6L went about reprogramming the droid cargo to help them take over the Star Destroyer. And modified them so that they would share this program with other droids aboard Indefatigable.
Rendezvousing with the Star Destroyer was rather easy - they had been expected after all. Maya... distracted... Lieutenant Quinn while the others unloaded the droids. However, there were some problems down in engineering. HK-69, Q2-6L, and Caleb investigated, discovering a very unhappy droid - R3-KLA, who had been with Indefatigable since she was built - and was not at all affected by Q2's new and improved programming. He fired off grenades at them and protected himself with a forcefield. He then used his rocket packs to lower himself down one of his ships many bottomless shafts...
Catching up to him, our heroes learned R3-KLA was overloading the ship's engines. They were eventually able to defeat him with Caleb telekenetically catching a grenade and traping it in KLA-s forcefield. Boom... After this they were able to save she ship. Poor Quint was removed form the scene as they jumped away into hyperspace, complete with a hangar deck full of old starfighters and a well-stocked gift shop...

Episode I
Relics of the Past
Over a century after the defeat of Palpatine’s Evil Galactic Empire, a new Empire has arisen from its ashes, bringing the Galactic Alliance to its knees.
The Taina Sector, ruled by Queen Rayna of the Tarheena Dynasty, has pledged its loyalty to the Empire. To cement this relationship, her son, Prince Kathon, is to be married to Duchess Jain of the Imperial family.
To present his bride with a suitable wedding gift, Prince Kathon has dispatched a team to retrieve an artifact from the demon moon of Dxun…
Cast – Caleb, HK-69, Maya Fleet, Muppet, Q2-6L
Prelude 1 – Several weeks after Order 66
As part of their efforts to rescue Adigo, Maya Fleet and her companions had managed to infiltrate the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. After recovering Adigo from Kamino, they had an opportunity to go over the data. Among it was information regarding lost Jedi treasures. Wanting to keep them out of the hands of the Emperor, they headed to the planet Ossus, the location of the Jedi Temple until the Sith wars some four thousand years ago which rendered the planet near-uninhabitable.
After an initial flyover they split up to cover different ruins. Maya found her way to an underground map room near the main library. She was no expert on Jedi or Sith lore, having only been introduced to the Jedi arts a few weeks previously, but it sure looked like it was designed to point the way to a Sith tomb on the moon Dxun. She lowered herself into the map room – its floors were carved to represent the surface of Dxun – or at least a portion of it. She pulled out her datapad to note the locations but before she could make any progress the entire room trembled – an earthquake. An enormous stone statue landed atop the entrance above her. She instinctively reached for her blaster, then holstered it. A portal on the far side of the room glowed with a green energy. She approached it. She saw strange flashes from within – space stations capable of destroying planets, alien invaders from another galaxy, worlds exploding. The ground shook again, as pieces of the ceiling began falling down. With little choice she ran into the portal and knew no more for 151 years…
Prelude 2 – The Present Day, 151 years later
Caleb joined the Jedi Order to probe the deeper mysteries of the Force. He was a disappointment to his wealthy family on Naboo and they were more than happy to be rid of him. He excelled in his lessons, but his teachers always reminded him that a Jedi’s knowledge was not a secret, but rather designed to be used. Caleb always assumed that some day he would desire that – but that day came sooner than he would have liked.
The war against the Empire had not been going well. Once it had been reduced to a few backwater sectors – a shadow of what it had once been, probably unable to sustain a war against the Hutts or the Corporate Sector Authority, much less the mighty New Republic. That all changed twenty years after the death of Palpatine. The Yuuzhan Vong invaded from outside the galaxy. Seemingly invisible to the Force and wielding a never before seen form of biotechnology, they terrorized the galaxy for several years, destroying entire worlds and going so far as to take Coruscant from the New Republic. The Republic itself was disbanded, replaced by the Alliance. The Alliance, allied with the Empire, eventually defeated the invaders. But the war caused many to question whether Palpatine’s Empire would have had such a difficult time fighting back the invasion. Over the next several decades, many worlds began going over to the security of theEmpire, as ruled by the Fel Dynasty. While far from a democracy, the Fel-ruled Empire was also far from Palpatine’s despotic regime, aided by Emperor Fel I’s “Victory Without War” initiative.
War finally came during the rule of Emperor Roan Fel. Allied with the reformed Sith Order, the Empire waged a three-year campaign against the Alliance. Coruscant itself had just recently fallen. Emperor Fel ordered the Jedi on Coruscant to surrender and pledge their loyalty to the Imperial Knights. Some did – the remainder fell back to their Temple on Ossus.
On Ossus, plans were made to withdraw, with a priority to get the younglings and padawans offworld. Caleb was part of a team to finish gathering information from various archeological digs and then get away. Unfortunately, the Jedi were betrayed and the Imperial invasion fleet, let by the sinister Darth Krayt and his Sith followers, arrived earlier. Caleb found himself trapped in the very same map room Maya had been in 151 years earlier…
Meanwhile, on Taina, Prince Kathon learned of the map room through the Tarheena royal family’s intelligence assets. He hired the Defel acquisitions expert Muppet along with his two droids, Q2-6L and HK-69, to find the map room and use it to retrieve the Sith artifacts. He claimed it was to provide his bride for a suitable wedding gift, but the prince was notorious for his eccentric and often dangerous whims. However, the Tarheena family was also rich and able to pay. And the fact that the Sith might not allow this mission to proceed make it all the more dangerous…
Part I – Played July 13, 2006
The Sith indeed did not welcome tourists on Ossus. Muppet performed the Han Solo maneuver and hid his small vessel on a larger authorized transport and made landing near the Great Library on Ossus. A fleet of Star Destroyers and squadrons of fighters testified how difficult leaving was going to be.
Meanwhile, in the map room Caleb found what had been an empty archway glowing an eerie green light. A woman in her twenties emerged from it, armed with a blaster pistol and lightsaber. After several minutes of circling one another, they determined they were not hostile to one another – and that the woman, Maya Fleet, had somehow found her way 151 years into her future. While they were discussing their situation, the rubble above them shifted as Muppet and his team opened the map room. They were a little nervous the two beings down below were potential Sith, though they seemed to be persuaded by the green lightsabers the two had. However, not knowing these two from Darth Vader, Q2 asked if there might not be an extra one that could suffice as payment…
As the discussions went on, a small squad of stormtroopers arrived and opened fire. Q2 dropped a rope down to help Maya and Caleb up while HK and Muppet held off the stormtroopers. After a little trouble securing the rope, Maya and Caleb managed to escape and the whole team ran to Muppet’s ship.
Running the blockade was not the easiest thing in the world. Maya took the controls – though more comfortable in the cockpit of a fighter, she had found in dozens of engagements in the Clone Wars and managed to weave through the blockade in time for Muppet to make the calculations for the jump into hyperspace to the Onderron System, home of the Demon Moon of Dxun…

Prelude –
The Eagle-5 leapt into hyperspace, shaking loose the pursuit of the Imperial fighters pursuing her. Aboard the Star Destroyer Tremayne Captain Tyr barks orders for navigation officers to chart every possible destination based on Eagle’s last known trajectory. “Never mind Captain,” a prematurely aged voice crackles at him. It comes from a dark-cloaked woman of indeterminate age – indeed the color of her skin looks as if she is already a corpse. Her bone-white head is draped by rope-like tangles of hair.
“Lady Phage?” He was fairly certain he heard her correctly but was nervous that she would take her anger out on him in typical Sith fashion.
“I already know their destination. Subtlety is required now captain. Leave them to me…”
Dxun orbited its parent Onderon dangerously close. Technically a moon, Dxun was more like a sibling than a child of Onderon. Occasionally their atmospheres would intermingle, allowing some of the horrid winged beasts of Dxun to visit its gentler neighbor. Though out of the way, great events of galactic history had taken place in the system – the Sith had risen from the ashes twice in this system, both times when they had been thought destroyed.
Maya tried her best for a gentle landing on Dxun, but the winds and approaching snow storm made it difficult and required a few bounces before their ship stabilized... They landed on a plateau near the mountaintop Sith tomb. They had a bit of a journey ahead of them – across a narrow bridge and a long climb up the mountain. The bridge proved tricky – two droids who weren’t really meant for narrow balancing acts.
They tried reaching the tomb before a snow storm arrived, but to no avail. They sought shelter in a cave inhabited by primitives who greeted them by shooting an arrow at Maya’s face. Caleb thought diplomacy might be in order but the rest of the group disagreed, favoring aggressive negotiations instead. They found a nonfunctioning medical droid – 9-1B. Q2-6L managed to patch it together. 9-1B explained that he had arrived on Dxun over 150 years ago with a Republic expedition that failed – indeed some of the primitives were descendents of the explorers. The primitives had just been wounded in their manhood ritual against one of Dxun’s many predators and they were working to reactive him – the primitives could briefly revive him with solar energy cells. After the storm subsided 9-1B showed them an easier path to the mountaintop.
On their way up our heroes drove away a flying beast. The tomb itself was protected by sealed doors and a combination lock accessible only by use of the Force. Caleb had to manipulate the lock with the assistance of Q2. Once in the tomb they managed to avoid a Sith-sword trap and reached a circular antechamber with many pillars and a central pool of acid. And of course zombies – lots of Sith zombies, which our heroes managed to dispatch, albeit with great diffuiculty.
All that remained was the main chamber of the tomb…

Part III – Played
Getting the sarcophagi open was no easy feat, but once done they saw it had the trinkets desired – a ring and an amulet. Both strong in the Dark Side of the Force. Also in the chamber was a Sith Holocron – a polyhedral artifact containing the memories and personality of a Dark Lord of the Sith.
In short order however Muppet also had the memories and personality of a Sith Lord – apparently one of the artifacts had the spirit of a Sith Lord. Pulling a lightsaber to him with the force, he ignited its red blade and swung at Caleb, who absorbed a powerful blow – just short of limb-severing power fortunately. Our heroes didn’t want to hurt Muppet, but several stun blasts were ineffective. Finally Caleb, lacking knowledge of Sith rituals, tried using a Jedi mind trick to convince the Sith Lord to leave. Amazingly it worked. Fortunately too, as it cost Caleb the last of his reserves – he fell to the floor of the tomb unconscious. Maya roused him to consciousness with a medpac. Then our heroes began their long and dangerous climb down the mountain back to their ship, taking the Sith artifacts with them. As they neared the bottom the picked up the repaired 9-1B.
About a kilometer away from their ship they saw another ship had landed – a Firespray-39 design. A Kerestian Sith warrior was blocking the bridge. Uncertain how to proceed, they were amazed to see a goat charging at him – a Sith-spirit-possessed goat which transferred its spirit to the Kerestian – a rough day for a long-slumbering Sith spirit – a brief visit to Muppet, followed by a Dxun goat. It did seem happier in a humanoid body that had no Jedi friends to drive it out. Unfortunately, this happy spirit took its new body to the first ship it came across – which was not its host’s Firespray but a slightly closer Freighter – Muppet’s Eagle 4… Our heroes were rather sad as they watched it fly off…
Fortunately, the Firespray wasn’t too hard to break into – HK-69 offered to blast it open but Q2-6L managed to open the doors. A jet-black R2-unit greeted them – which our heroes responded to with a restraining bolt. The droid apparently had a message for the departed Sith warrior. A hologram of Darth Phage –
“Emperor Fel has been dealt with. After you complete your mission on Dxun you will proceed to Taina where you will arrest Princess Jain, a distant relative of the Emperor. You will deliver her to Darth Maladi on Coruscant. Her freedom can disrupt Lord Krayt’s plans.”
Not that our heroes were particularly loyal to the Empire under Fel – indeed some of them were from the
Most tour guides described Taina with words like “beautiful”, “idyllic”, “reminiscent of old Alderaan”. Villages and cities nestled in mountain ranges, mountaintop palaces, gondola rides, repulsortrains connecting the cities. Of course those guides usually ignored some of the damage to Taina from numerous civil wars – the Taina sector had many factions and often had trouble electing its governor and senator – which every once in a while would lead to civil war – the nastiest about 150 years ago during the Clone Wars when half of the sector were loyalists and the other half were separatists. With the capital being evenly divided as well.
Our heroes managed to avoid questioning from X-wing militia fighters by transmitting an Imperial security code that encoded within their ship. Their plans for stealth met with a slight hiccup when an agent of the prince met them shortly after landing at
Prince Kathon was waiting for them in a private room in the casino. He was a cloaked figure whose speech mannerisms were reminiscent of Emperor Palpatine. They also learned he was completely blind, his eyes having been destroyed in assassination attempt some years previous. Rather than use cybernetics, he turned to the Force – for your eyes can deceive you – don’t trust them. Prince Kathon indicated that he had foreseen the fall of the
Prince Kathon was able to get them into the royal palace and into an audience with the queen. Maya had helped Caleb disguise himself as a Sith – hopefully Queen Rayna would not know who to expect. The disguise seemed to work well and they were able to deflect the Queen’s request for identification with a Jedi mind trick. The Queen took them down to the dungeons, where Princess Jain, a fully trained Imperial Knight, was imprisoned in an energy field above a bottomless pit. As they took the elevator back up the entire complex shook and the elevator lost power. Q2-6L restored emergency power and chatted with the palace central computer – apparently the Star Destroyer Tremayne had arrived and was most unhappy to hear of the “Sith” who was retrieving the princess. Their disguise rapidly fading in usefulness, HK-69 was finally able to show his knowledge of assassination protocols and eliminate the Queen. As TIE Phantoms assisted in the bombardment, Maya took an X-Wing and the rest, along with Kathon and Jain, escaped in the Firespray. Weaving their way past the Imperial blockade the jumped to hyperspace and safetly…

Orbital Bombardment Destroys All Cities on Taina
Taina Obital City, Taina Sector 165:05:16
In retribution for sheltering members of the Fel family, the Star Destroyers Tremayne, Piett, Veers, and Tarkin launched a massive orbital bombardment, effectively leveling all major cities on Taina. A blockade has been instituted around the planet. The Imperial Information Office indicated that “it is regrettable that the elites of Taina had chosen to subject their people to such suffering to protect known terrorists. The planet has been blockaded for the protection of the remaining rural populace who will be taken care of by the military forces orbiting the planet.”

Koth Bal-Lon, one of the few Bothan Jedi in history, spent much of his time in the shadows. He was one the best eyes and ears of the order, but most of those he interacted with never even knew he was a Jedi.
Koth was not overjoyed to receive an apprentice, though Master Yoda insisted there was much knowledge he could impart. Koth's first apprentice was "Prince" Dar D'yela, the third son of a noble ruler. The D'yela family was unwilling to give the Jedi order the first two sons, wanting to assure themselves of an heir, but they gave the order their third son, Dar. However, when Dar was ten, tragedy struck the D'yela family - Dar's two older brothers were killed in a shuttlecraft "accident". The D'yela family petioned the Jedi order to return their third son but the Jedi refused, indicating they were not the child's legal guardians - and returning him would be dangerous for all concerned
Shortly thereafter Dar became Master Koth's apprentice. Dar was very powerful in the Force, but always puhing his luck when it came to rules. He often snuck out of the temple to go swoop racing. Many viewed this as a side-effect of traveling with Koth so much.
Things grew rapidly worse when Chancellor Palpatine came into power after the invasion of Naboo. A friend of the D'yela family, he arranged for the family to come into contact with their son. D'yela took on something of a "punk aristocratic" air - he often dyed his hair blue while wearing regal robes. Koth was less than pleased with this arrangement but saw some advantages, seeing how proficient his apprentice grew at interacting with all sorts of people - swoop gang members, aristocracy, criminal elements, etc.
About six months after the Battle of Naboo, Koth had to go deeply undercover to seek information about the return of the Sith and was forced to leave Dar behind. Dar himself went on an extended side-mission investigate slavery on the outer rim. Dar was not ready for this independence - he soon found himself taking the quicker path to power - the Dark Side of the Force. When reunited with Koth several attempts were made to reform him, but the damage was done. Dar D'yela was expelled from the Jedi Order. Rumor has it he rejoined his family and returned to his ancestral holding
Though hesitant to do so, Koth was eventually persuaded to take on a second padawan, Tappa Keeg. He spent much more time with him and the pair worked well together. However, as the Clone Wars raged on and the ranks of the Jedi were thinned out, the two began finding themselves forced to go on separate missions. The two were separated when Order 66 was issued. Tappa Keeg survived it. Koth's fate is unknown, He spent very little time with Clone Troopers so it is quite possible he surived the Order. If so it is certain the Emperor's sinister agents are searching for him...
HAL informed the rebels to be that they would have to travel to Ares to meet his employer. However, they found the area around their ship to be guarded by Imperial Clonetroopers. R2-JB snuck up ahead (no one ever pays attention to droids…) and discovered the troopers were indeed guarding their ship. Tappa tried a Jedi mind trick on them, informing them they didn’t need to see any identification. When that failed to work, Adigo showed them identification – which, much to the surprise of his companions (who were unaware of his background), was accepted. Loading the outer door which had been cut off so the troopers could inspect the ship, our heroes blasted off. The Imperials quickly realized their mistake and began pursuing with fighters and Star Destroyers. The rebels barely had time to jump into hyperspace – a bad jump which took them far out of their way.
During the trip, Tappa continued his training of Adigo and Maya into the ways of the Force, while R2-JB worked on repairing the damage to the outer door. Their journey was marred by frequent power fluctuations. Eventually they became so bad they were forced to investigate engineering – when they found themselves under attack by a 2-meter long mutant Fefze beetle – normally scavengers, this one had been modified – and had been clearly tainted by the Dark Side of the Force. Clinging to the ceiling, it spat acid down at them. Eventually Tappa pulled it down using the Force. Somewhat annoyed at Adigo’s constant “suggestions” (the habits of an officer in the Clone Wars died hard). Tappa finally delivered it right to Adigo. Luck – or the Force – was with them and they finally finished it off, none the wiser how it managed to get aboard.
Eventually they reached Ares. Tan Hiel was hiding in some remote mountains. Landing on a sturdy ledge in the mountains, our heroes followed HAL down a slope to a stone bridge crossing a gap between two ledges. As they approached a rockslide, with a bad sense of timing, tried to trample them. R2-JB felt this was a fine time to perform a rocket jump over the canyon. The rest made do, dodging rocks as best they could.
Tan Hiel was in a luxurious apartment on the other side. She told them the knowledge she had about Finn Numm…
Finn Numm, at the time of the Trade Federation of the MCA, was vice-president in charge of new technologies, a very important position. The MCA was a vast organization – an assembly of countless other corporations, so large that it was a government unto itself. Which gave the ability of plausible deniability for many “black projects”.
One of those black projects was Charitin Gas – a vile toxin used in many brushfire wars prior to the Clone War – and in the war itself, until Obi-Wan Kenobi developed a cure. Unknown to the galaxy, Charitin was developed by a black ops division of the MCA, chartered and approved by Finn Numm himself. The gas was used in limited engagements before the war.
When the MCA was acquired by the Trade Federation, Numm find himself reporting to a Neimodian named Tan Hiel. She was briefed on the details of the Charitin Gas and fully approved of it.
“And I have evidence proving his role. Finn Numm came up with a weapons program that killed millions in the Clone Wars. Perhaps that is worth amnesty – or at least an apartment in Cloud City?”
Heading back over the bridge, Adigo suddenly felt phantom fingers wrapped around his throat. Emerging from behind cover they saw a man in his early 30’s wearing fine, black aristocratic clothing. His hair contrasted with his fine clothing – blue and spiked. The right side of his face, including his right eye, had been replaced with cybernetics. Tappa immediately recognized him – “Prince” Dar D’yela – expelled from the Jedi Order – and his own Master Koth’s previous student. D’yela taunted them in a sing-song voice (perhaps his voice-box was cybernetic as well) – “It was astonishingly easy to hide myself aboard your ship on Moelbarae. You are clearly a threat to the Empire. As an Imperial Inquisitor, I order you to surrender yourselves. By the way, Tappa, have you been to Nar Shadda lately? Looked up your old master by any chance?”
Tappa and Adigo ignited their lightsabers and crossed the bridge while Maya and R2-JB readied their ranged weapons. D’yela drew a pair of sabers – one blue, much like the one he had used as a padawan – and strongly resembling Koth’s blade. The other the red color favored by the Sith. Early on he landed several telling blows, going so far as to impale Tappa with a lunge he barely survived. Eventually the strain of too many combatants wore him down and our heroes triumphed – but were denied a final victory, with D’yela falling off the ledge – and no body was recovered…

Tarheena Takes Lead in Latest Poll
It now seems the tight schedule for the special election is working against the previously heavily favored Finn Numm. The supposedly independent “Clone War Veterans for Truth” continued their campaign against Numm, bringing to light more documents highlighting his role in various black-ops weapon projects. In the most recent poll, Tarheena leads Numm by 5 points – taking into consideration that votes on MCA worlds are weighted by stock owned in the MCA. Just counting voters, Tarheena leads all candidates with 45% of the vote. Numm currently has 35% of the vote. 10%, mainly from worlds of the Kantosus Theocracy, support the arch-conservative candidate Bas Duranion who continued to campaign against Tarheena’s “sinful lifestyle”, making several allegations about the candidates private life.

Port Town, Rheltooine Struck by Pirates
The Hiseiri made their boldest strike yet, raiding the capital of Rheltooine yesterday. Twenty-five citizens have been reported dead, with many more injured and missing. Eyewitnesses report that several of the missing were taken prisoner by the pirates. Allegations persist that the Hiseiri have been selling prisoners as slave in illicit ports in the Roche Asteroid Field. The pirates were driven off when Lieutenant Eldin Fleet, formerly of Green Squadron, made emergency repairs to the defensive batteries that had been damaged in the first wave of the Hiseiri attack.
Endicon Tarheena reiterated his pledge to file legislation reinstating the Taina Sector’s Green Squadron – and to make it easier for other sector militias to receive Imperial sanction. In a speech on Rheltooine, Tarheena said that “while I applaud his majesty’s devotion to security and desire for peace, I feel we must consider the value of reinstating many of the sector and planetary militias which fought so valiantly in defense of the Republic. With piracy running rampant in systems outside the core worlds, the people have a right to protect themselves. While no one would question the loyalty of the soldiers of the Empire, having people who have lived their whole lives in the sectors they will defend has an obvious value.”

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away…
Episode III
Dark Legacies
The newly formed Evil Galactic Empire has begun cementing its hold on the galaxy. Political opponents are being silenced by imprisonment and assassination.
With the recent “accidental” death the senator from the Taina sector – a critic of Imperial power – the governor has made an interim appointment until a special election can be held. Finn Numm, Chief Executive Officer of the Moelbarae Commerce Alliance, has been made interim senator. A staunch supporter of Emperor Palpatine, his securing the seat would be a blow to democracy in the Taina Sector.
Opposing him in the upcoming election is Lord Endicot Tarheena, a long-time critic of Palpatine and proponent of a restoration of the Republic. However, Tarheena ran for this office before, a decade ago. Though he won that election after many disputes in the courts, his victory plunged the sector into a civil war which prevented him from ever taking his seat in the Senate…

Summary:
The Gungan ambassador, Meesa Meesa Groll took our heroes on a journey from Naboo to the ruins of a spice-mining colony on one of its moons. The colony had been wiped out in the Clone War by a Separatist chemical weapon – the deadly Charitin Gas, whose cure was found a year into the war – after the death of many millions… On the moon waiting for them was the newly appointed Senator from Naboo – Jar Jar Binks. And the senatorial candicate for the Tainia Sector – Endicot Tarheena. Neither was friendly to the Empire and were in the process of organizing clandestine resistance to the new dictatorship.
The first order of business to this resistance was getting Tarheena to a place where he could better fight the Empire – the Imperial Senate. Though Tarheena had a decade before technically won the Tainan senate seat, his victory plunged his sector into civil war and he never did sit in the senate. As a compromise, in the aftermath of the war, his long-time friend Arrani had taken the seat. Now with Arrani dead in a “tragic accident”, Tarheena was attempting to secure the seat for himself in an upcoming special election – though the governor had already appointed Finn Numm, CEO of the Moelbarae Commerce Alliance to temporarily take the seat – and Numm was favored by Emperor Palpatine.
Tarheena explained to our heroes that an enemy of Finn Numm, a Neimodian named Tan Hiel, claimed to have information that would prevent Numm from securing the seat. In the aftermath of the Taina Civil War, the Moelbarae Commerce Alliance was a spent entity – it had dedicated far too much of its resources to trying to gain political power. Suffering from several losing quarters in the aftermath of the war, the MCA was acquired by the Trade Federation in, if not a hostile takeover, was an unwelcome takeover.
Finn Numm, at the time of the acquisition, was vice-president in charge of new technologies, a very important position. When the MCA was acquired by the Trade Federation, Numm found himself reporting to Tan Hiel – so she would be in a position to have dirt on him.
When the Clone War broke out, the Republic declared the acquisition null and void and made the MCA to again be an independent entity – this led to a lot of chaos, with various divisions pledging themselves to the separatists or the Republic – much like the rest of the galaxy.
The Republic named the ambitious Finn Numm CEO of the new MCA. This did not sit well with the Trade Federation. Numm didn’t care much for either government, but he did like the idea of being in charge…
(Tarheena also told Maya of the happy news that her sister Artemis had given birth to a baby girl, explaining her absence from the command of Green Squadron in recent months.)
Tarheena and Binks arranged for our rebels to have some new equipment. Aware that some of them had begun studying the Jedi arts under the tutelage of Tappa Keeg (himself still a Padawan), they provided them with some spare lightsabers – half of Darth Maul’s old double-bladed lightsbaer went to Adigo (who had begun studying the rare two-sword form) and Obi-Wan’s original weapon went to Maya (both were recovered by a utility crew from the bottom of an almost-bottomless shaft). They also equipped them with some grenades, a flamethrower for R2-JB (he always wanted one), and most importantly, a pair of ships – a beat-up Correllian YT-1355 freighter and a Z-95 Headhunter starfighter (with a hangar in the freighter for the fighter). Both ships could be found at any spaceport and were very inconspicuous. They would need transportation, for Hiel was unwilling to arrange a direct meeting – first they would have to pick up a package at the lowest level of a Moelbarae city…
Moelbarae was a city originally colonized by the Sullustans. Its architecture reflected that – its surface nearly uninhabitable, the cities were carved into craters hundreds of levels deep. After landing at the main spaceport the rebels locked their ship tight and took a speeder through an hours-long highway journey from one crater to another. To make the journey more exciting a swoop gang attacked them. Though they were dispatched with relative ease, there was evidence that someone knew of their mission…
In the middle of the night, down in the deepest slum-levels of a crater our heroes approached the warehouse. It was a narrow, tall building – level after level of balconies around a central pit, with the lockers within the outer walls. Finding the proper level, R2-JB and Adigo headed for the locker while Maya and Tappa waited in the speeder “outside”. A cloaked wino was suspiciously near the locker they needed. It was a Gran, armed only with a staff – and of course he attacked them. He turned out to be a deadly martial artist. Though he landed several lightsaber blows, Adigo was taken out of the fight, badly wounded. As Maya and Tappa came to give relief, R2-JB was taken out of the fight as well, his circuits overloaded by a solid kick amplified by a twirl around the quarterstaff. Maya tumbled past him, trying to shove him out of the way to apply a medpack to Adigo and a repair kit to R2. Finally, after much trying, Tappa managed to use the Force to send the Gran flying off the balcony.
Badly wounded but stabilized, our heroes opened the storage locker. Inside was a Verpine Worker Drone Droid. Designed to be a competitive protocol droid, the Verpine, while technically astute, were not too familiar with what most begins felt comfortable with. This droid came to life, introducing himself in a maddeningly calm voice as J-HAL-9000-86 (Hal for short). He would take them to Tan Hiel…
Miscellaneous Notes:
Force point awarded to Maya for heroically charging at and past the Gran martial artist to save Adigo and R2-JB.

In an effort to protect the newly founded Galactic Empire and its loyal citizens from the scourge of renegade separatists and Jedi terrorists, Imperial Advisor Ars Dangor announced that Emperor Palpatine, per the terms of the recently enacted Imperial Security Act, has founded the Office of Imperial Inquisition. The Inquisition’s goals are to protect the citizens of the galaxy by finding and hunting down these renegades. In a prepared statement Ars Dangor stated that “while heroes like Darth Vader have been tireless in their efforts to bring these terrorists to justice, quite simply they need help. The Inquisition has the authority and resources needed to both investigate reports of terrorist activity and bring them to Imperial justice.”

Star Wars
Episode II
Kashyyyk Breakout
The
A band of heroes who have tried to stem the tide of darkness is marooned on Kashyyyk, unable to escape due to an Imperial blockade. The valiant Wookies have earned the ire of the Empire in their effort to save the Jedi master Yoda from betrayal.
During the blockade many Wookies have been shipped off to unknown locations. Information encoded within an R2 unit may hold the key to their fate – and in so doing expose the crimes of the Empire…

Characters – Adigo, renegade clone trooper (Mike); Maya Fleet, fighter pilot (Heather), R2-JB, astromech droid (Patrick); Tappa Keeg, Duros Jedi Padawan (Ben), GM (Dan)
===============================================
Prelude – A Republic Cruiser heads towards Kashyyyk. An R2 unit beeps at an Imperial senator insistently. The senator and his wookie companion turn towards the small droid. He mentally translates the series of beeps coming from the droid. “Yes, I believe you that the computer warned you about sabotage. If true though I don’t see how we can act on that information. – I doubt our clone bodyguards would allow me to wait in escape pod. Besides, do you think it likely they’d kill their own just to eliminate an old troublemaker like me… I suppose so. Why don’t you download the information from Kallapirr and wait near the escape pods… Just in case – I have a friend who is a reporter down on Kashyyyk.”
A few minutes later the cruiser explodes. An escape pod flies out of the debris and heads for the planet below. A short time later a landing craft follows.
Our heroes had spent the past two weeks hiding on Kashyyyk, shelteed by the Wookies. Rumors were flying everywhere about the nature of this new Empire. While the galaxy as a whole seemed quite pleased about this new development, the Wookies of Kashyyyk felt differently – Wookies were constantly being shipped off to “secure locations” as “enemy combatants”. They were clearly paying the price for the aid they provided to Jedi Master Yoda…
Kavilo Standro, a Rodian reporter, had indicated to them that a contact in the senate was willing to put him in touch with someone who had proof that Wookies were being shipped off to Kessel for slave labor. However that contact seemed to have exploded on approach to Kashyyyk. But if the characters could reach an escape pod which had launched from the yatch first…
Maya piloted a Wookie catamaran for our heroes to the location of the escape pod landing – just in time to see a series of clone troopers mounted on speeder bikes arriving. However, they proved no match for our heroes – who received unexpected aid from the escape pod’s sole occupant – a purple painted astromech droid, R2-JB, who had a few additional attachments – like a blaster and grenade launcher.
Returning to Kavilo, they were able to find a recording within R2. Playing it back, a hologram of a Twi’lek flickered to life – a message to the late Senator Arani of the Taina Sector – “Senator I’ll thank you not to mention me if you act on this… Yes, the rumors you have heard are true – many of the so-called Wookie “traitors” are indeed getting shipped here to the spice minds of Kessel – they aren’t being charged with anything, simply being put into work in the mines as slave laborers. There are quite a few ships coming from Kashyyyk regularly with wookie slaves – Trandoshan ships mainly. They got this operation set up pretty quickly – no way they did this after the Wookie betrayal they keep talking about… I’ve attached a list of ships they use to haul slaves – maybe it will be of some use…”
Kavilo indicated that proof that Wookies were being shipped off to the spice mines of Kessel without so much as a trial could aid efforts against the Emprie.
A day later our heroes were looking at the Gorth – a modular freighter refitted to serve as a prison ship – its two cargo pods being inaccessible from the rest of the ship while in flight. The Gorth was nearing the completion of some minor repairs – apparently it had flowin too close to a black hole. Tappa Keeg used a Jedi Mind trick to persuade the clone trooper guards they were part of the repair crew. And that it would be advisable to forget they had ever been there.
Hiding in an emergency thruster room, our heroes emerged after the Gorth took off and entered hyperspace. R2-JB closed a blast door to separate the command pod from the engineering portion of the ship while Adigo valiantly (or recklessly, depending on your point of view) charged the bridge and dispatched the Trandoshan crew up their with his lightsaber. They then took on the rest of the small crew – with Tappa Keeg taking a severe blaster injury. In the end they were able to finish off the crew, including the flamethrower-wielding Captain Bozk, who did not go down quietly.
Having secured the ship, Tappa Keeg took the ship out of hyperspace and plotted a new course for Naboo, to meet with a Gungan contact of his, Meesa Meesa Groll. Though unpopular among Gungans (owing to his “speech impediment”, though Tappa thought he spoke just fine), Groll had contacts within the Naboo government – hopefully he would be able find sanctuary for the Wookie prisoners. They arrived to find Naboo in an official state of mourning – their beloved senator, Padme Amidala, had died in mysterious circumstances.

Senator Arani Dies in Starship Accident
Senator Arrani’s starship, the Abregado-Rae Sunrise, exploded shortly after emerging from hyperspace in the Kashyyyk system. Senator Arrani was on a fact-finding mission to investigate unfounded rumors concerning the treatment of Wookie terrorists who aided the Jedi in their coup against then-Chancellor Palpatine.
Governor Mell Soren declared a sector-wide period of mourning and appointed Finn Numm as interim senator for the sector until a special election can be held.
Imperial Security is currently investigating the accident. Though quick to point out he is not under official suspicion, they have confirmed they are focusing their questioning on Endicot Tarheena, long-time aid to the late senator.
